IMMIGRATION EVALUATIONS

For Attorneys

I prioritize collaboration with immigration attorneys and accredited legal representatives to ensure that each client is provided a high quality report. The evaluation will provide straight-forward, clinical data on an immigrant’s history, trauma, diagnosis and mental health. 

Evaluations are available for: 

• Extreme Hardship
• Political Asylum
• U Visa
• T Visa
• VAWA  

A referral must come from an attorney in order for me to complete an evaluation. Once received, it will be reviewed and an estimated time frame to start the evaluation will be provided.  

The evaluation will take anywhere from 1-4 sessions depending on the type of evaluation, whether an interpreter is required, and the client’s ability to engage in the session. You will receive a completed copy of the evaluation 10 business days after client’s final session.

Please be prepared to offer pertinent documents and background information regarding client’s case prior to the start of the evaluation. This will minimize unnecessary re-traumatization for the client and improve accuracy when conducting the assessment.  

NOTE: I cannot be in a dual role as evaluator and therapist, as it would compromise my objectivity. Should it be determined that mental health services would beneficial to a client, I will offer to provide appropriate referrals upon the completion of the evaluation.
