About Kyri

Kyri Shaffer is a licensed marriage and family therapist in Columbus, Ohio. Her clinical practice focuses on psychological evaluations for immigrants and psychotherapy for diverse populations.

Kyri earned her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Wheaton College. She was a systemic therapist and clinical supervisor at Nationwide Children’s Hospital for many years. She received her training to complete psychological evaluations with Immigration Psychology Access Team. Kyri has worked at two of Columbus’s refugee resettlement agencies. She served as the Director of Clinical Services at US Together and is currently at Community Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS). 

In addition to providing direct services, Kyri is an AAMFT approved supervisor. She is passionate about utilizing a systemic lens to ground clinical practice and is intentional about developing clinical skills to work cross-culturally. Kyri envisions that the future of mental health services will be more accessible, diverse, and collaborative.
